this is my first time using an upside down planter also. will see how it goes. i just planted 6 containers with bell peppers on the bottom and cucumbers from the top. i have some tomato plants that i ordered that should be here next week that i am going to plant in the remaining planters i have and thought about putting squash in the top side but am now rethinking that one as the stems on squash are so thin. but i will plant something in the top. i don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.i am having high hopes for this upside down thing. i plant tomatoes every year in my garden with disastrous results. the ground is diseased i think.will let the board know in a few weeks how all is going.
